6 Midi dress styles to try this SS18

Happy Spring, everyone! Is it just me or have the last couple of months flown by ridiculously fast – hellooo, wasn’t it just Christmas?!

The last few days have been marvellous here in London: lovely sunny afternoons, clear blue skies and blossoming trees all around, with the odd bird chirp here and there! It’s a welcoming change from, frankly, one of the coldest and most miserable long lasting Winter’s I’ve probably experienced, I mean, snow in March?!

With the good weather finally making an appearance, it’s time to retire the winter puffer coat for yet another year and bring out some warm weather staples, starting with a come-backer that caused a huge sensation when it was first introduced in Spring/ Summer 2014 runways – the mid-length dress aka the “Midi”.

The midi dress is this SS18 go to dress for every occasion, it’s the ultimate day-to-night piece. Whether you’re out lunching with the girls, have meetings at the office, or hitting the town for a Saturday night out, the midi dress can work for practically any event on the calendar.

Whatever it is you’re after, there is definitely a style to suit! Take your pick from 60’s inspired pretty floral prints to a sexy satin number with 80’s allure, racy cut-outs to romantic lace inserts, figure-hugging body cons to flowy skirt variations – the choices are endless and they really couldn’t be more simply to style; with flat sandals, ankle boots or strappy heels, the midi dress is a full outfit in itself, minus the fuss.
